How do I measure my guitar for a Hiscox case?

Lay your guitar flat and measure four things in millimetres: overall length (tip of the headstock to the back of the body, not including the strap button), lower bout (widest width of the body below the waist), upper bout (widest width above the waist), and body depth (the thickest part of the body, often mid-body rather than at the edge). Enter these in the Case Finder and it will rank the cases that fit.

The Hiscox EG (Les Paul & Single-Cut) is moulded specifically for the Gibson Les Paul, Epiphone Les Paul, and similar single-cutaway electrics. Its interior accommodates the Les Paul’s set-neck angle and taller bridge.

What if my guitar isn’t on the list?

Use the dimensions path in the Case Finder: measure your guitar and the finder will rank the cases that fit by internal dimensions. You can also tick a guitar type (electric, acoustic, classical, bass) to narrow the results to that family.

Do I need to worry about neck angle?

Accepted Answer

Only on electric guitars. Fender-type electrics (Stratocaster, Telecaster, most Super-Strats) sit flat against the body — 0° neck angle — and pair with the EF case. Gibson-type electrics (Les Paul, SG) have a backward-angled neck — ~4° — that needs the EG or SG case with a taller bridge cutout. Acoustics, classicals and basses are functionally flat-necked for fit purposes.
